Resources are tools or equipment like rooms, chairs, or stations that are required for certain services. This article explains how to create and manage resources both on the website and the mobile app, and how they affect scheduling when needed for specific services.


πŸ› οΈ Create a Resource

These instructions explain how to create a resource in both the website and mobile app. You’ll learn how to name a resource, assign it to a category, link it to services that require it, and save it so it can be scheduled in appointments.

  1. Click More and then select Resources.
    ​

  2. Press the + sign in the bottom right corner.
    ​

  3. Enter in the Name and Category for the resource.
    ​

  4. In the Services section, click into the search bar and type the service that will require the resource in order to be scheduled.
    ​

  5. Repeat step 4 for any additional services that will require the resource.
    ​

  6. Press Save to finish creating your resource.
    ​

  1. Select More.
    ​

  2. Select Resources.
    ​

  3. Press the + sign in the bottom right.
    ​

  4. Enter the Name of the resource.

    • Optionally add a Category for the resource.
      ​

  5. Select Add a Service.
    ​

  6. Click into the search bar and type the service that will require the resource in order to be scheduled.
    ​

  7. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for any additional services that will require the resource.
    ​

  8. Press Save to finish creating your resource.
    ​


πŸ“† Scheduling with Resources

These instructions explain how to schedule an appointment with resources on both the website and mobile app. You’ll learn how to select a client, add services, assign or change a required resource, and finalize the booking.

⚠️ Please Note:

  • When scheduling a service that requires a resource, the software will automatically assign a resource when one is available. If, however, you wish to set a specific resource to be used, then you can adjust that as well. If a resource is not available, you will receive a notification.

  1. Click at the desired start time of the appointment under the column of the employee who will be performing the service of the appointment.
    ​

  2. In the Which Client? field, enter the client's name, and select the client from the list.
    ​

  3. In the What Services? field, enter the service and select a service from the list. Repeat this step for any additional services you wish to schedule for the client.
    ​

  4. The resource that was automatically assigned for the service will be listed just under the service. If you wish to change the resource, select Change and select the resource you wish to schedule the appointment with.
    ​

  5. Select Schedule to save the appointment.
    ​

  1. From the Appointment book, double-click at the desired start time of the appointment under the column of the employee who will be performing the service of the appointment or tap the + in the lower right corner.
    ​

  2. Click on Select Existing Client to bring up the Client list. Click on the client when you have located them to add them to the ticket.
    ​

  3. To add a service, select Add a Service. Just like with the client look-up screen, not all services will appear at once. Instead, you may need to use the magnifying glass.
    ​

  4. Click into the service to change the resource if needed.
    ​

  5. Press Save.
    ​

  6. Select Book Appointment to finish scheduling the appointment.
    ​

Why don’t I see a resource automatically assigned?

Either no resource is currently available at that time, or the service wasn’t linked to a resource. Double-check your settings.


Can I use one resource for multiple services?

Yes, as long as the resource isn’t already booked for the same time slot.


Can I edit or delete resources later?

Yes, you can go to More β†’ Resources (website or mobile), find the resource, and make changes as needed.


Can I have resources show on the appointment book?

Resources can be seen on the appointment book via the mobile app, however they are not able to be seen on the appointment book via the website. On the mobile app you will select the resource like an employee to show using the three horizontal lines in the upper right of the appointment book.
